New Media Video Producer / Editor for Digital Platforms

Drive the creation of new forms of story telling for our flagship site,, as well as Facebook and other digital platforms.



  • The producer / editor will develop ideas for videos based on local, national, regional, and international Space industry, business ecosystems and exponential technologies related current events, as well as topics likely to resonate with specific audience segments
  • The successful candidate will be able to use a mix of visual elements – video, audio, still photos, text and (info)graphics – to create compelling stories that appeal to desktop, mobile and social audiences
  • Directly responsible for developing campaigns and promotional pieces from inception and development, through completion
  • Utilize strong writing skills to create impactful promotional and teaser copy
  • Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously on an on-going basis; monitor and track effectiveness while making recommendations for the continual improvement of promotional efforts
  • This person also may be involved in creation of mini-documentaries



  • 1-3 years of video production and non-linear editing experience is required
  • Audio experience includes small format mixers, compression, EQ, audio recording techniques for studio and field
  • Strong creative skillset with proven examples
  • Must have a successful track record of creating compelling, shareable video
  • Be creative and innovative sensibility, plus have high editorial standards
  • A deep knowledge of industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Adobe Premiere) and digital video production is necessary; video compression for multiple delivery platforms
  • Interest in and knowledge of Space, tech at large, business ecosystems current events and a love of experimentation and collaboration is essential
  • Must have a high comfort level with social media and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, nimble workplace and an aptitude for making quick, quality decisions
  • Highly organized and able to manage/prioritize multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Light shooting, writing, and directing as needed
  • A college degree, preferably in communications, engineering, aeronautics, journalism, business or a related field is required
